Project Summary: This animation is designed to illustrate the families of soil moisture sensors. It is a component of the Irrigation Virtual Field Day.
Technology and Software: The soil sensor animation was created using Adobe Flash and is housed on a webpage within the Virtual Field Day site. The graphics were edited in Adobe Photoshop and the web pages were created using Adobe Dreamweaver.
Pedagogy and Technology: The user can select particular branches of the sensor family tree. The animation also provides links to detailed information on individual sensors. This interface enables the user to understand the sensor relationships and gain in-depth knowledge of sensors.
