Tame Melaleuca
Project Summary: The Areawide Management Evaluation of Melaleuca quinquenervia (TAME Melaleuca) was recently established as a collaborative multi-agency project under the USDA Agricultural Research Service's Area-wide Pest Management Initiative. This site is a resource intended to educate land managers, encourage adoption of control methods and disseminate information on the dangers of this invasive species.
Technology and Software: This website was developed using Adobe Dreamweaver. The graphics were developed using Adobe Fireworks and photographs enhanced with Adobe Photoshop. Slide shows were coded in Flash, using batch processing for images through a Fireworks script. The image paths are stored in an external XML file and imported dynamically into Flash. Standards compliant CSS allows for a unique page layout that displays well across browsers.
