Virtual Greenhouse
Project Summary: The Hydroponic Greenhouse section of the Virtual Field Day site is the featured research area of the Suwannee Valley IFAS Extension Office. This section offers visitors 360-degree panoramas of the greenhouse with links to videos explaining various hydroponic growing techniques available. Each panorama provides embedded links to videos explaining the various techniques shown in the greenhouse.
Technology and Software: All 360-degree panoramas were shot using the 360 One VR lens, which allows one photo to capture the environment. Icons were added to the photos using Adobe Photoshop and the edited photos were converted using PhotoWarp into QuickTime VR movies. Links to videos were added with VRWorx.
Pedagogy and Technology: To extend the virtual experience of a field day, the 360-degree panoramas were used to give online visitors a better sense of what the different hydroponic growing techniques look like.
