What is it? 
Elluminate Live! is a real-time virtual classroom environment designed for use in distance education and distance collaboration.
The Elluminate classroom includes multiple real-time tools to aid in the simulation of a face to face classroom. These tools include:
- Application Sharing
- Audio
- Breakout Rooms
- Multimedia content delivery
- Polls
- Quizzing
- Student Management tools such as hand raising capabilities, emoticons, and control of student access to features and tools
- Surveys
- Synchronize Web Tours
- Text messaging
- Webcam Video
- Whiteboard

What are the educational uses and benefits?
- Extends the boundaries of the traditional classroom.
- Allows the addition of live discussion and dynamic interaction in synchronous distance learning.
- Engages students through the use of interactive real-time learning.

- Allows for participation from any computer thus enabling guest speakers and lecturers.
- Instructors can hold virtual office hours.

Elluminate Live!
How do I get started?
- The instructor and the students must have a username and password.
- The instructor can schedule a meeting in the Elluminate Live! virtual classroom.
- The instructor and students login during the scheduled meeting time and enter the classroom.
- **Note**Users who are interested in utilizing Elluminate will be required to buy into the UF Elluminate license in order to have the tool made available.
