Role Model Interviews

Role model interviews generally refers to a conversation between two people in which one person acts as an interviewer to ask a set of questions, and the other person answers the question as an expert. Role model interviews can also consist of several people as a panel asking questions of one or more role models.

  • Role model interviews function to convey to students information and attitudes that are necessary to succeed.
  • Role model interviews give students real-world examples of successful persons and allows students to ask questions in order to model their success.

  • Create a discussion board forum in which students can post questions for the role model.
  • Create a blog on which students can post questions for the role model.
  • Have students submit questions to the instructor in advance and create a Mediasite or YouTube recording of the responses.
  • Have students submit questions to the instructor in advance and create and post a transcript of the responses to a Blog, E-mail, Discussion Board, RSS Feed, or Website.
